With the permiership season only just started, and a few doubious decisions already, when will the FA introduce video playback for the referee or 4th official. It has worked well in Rugby for years and is now working well in both tennis and cricket. Surley it's time the FA moved forward and followed suit. It would also stop the players arguing with the Ref if it's shown on the big screens that most clubs have. I'm sure all this arguing with the Ref spills over to the fans on the street after the game causing more agro and more policing.

Couldn't agree with you more. I've been calling for this to happen but football's big wigs seem intent on holding the game back whilst other sports are getting the benefit.

It doesn't take long for an incident to be reviewed by the referee, or even the fourth official while he is on the line, and controversial decisions like penalty decisions like old trafford yesterday, Anfield recently and even David Healy's goal that was never given would be no more and i think the game would be the better for it.

sometimes the game finishes and you feel robbed. Sympathy to spurs fans for yesterday as well. Video replay would of been ideal.

The FA won't introduce goal line technology or introduce video replays for ref any quicker just because of the United game, people are clutching onto straws if they think otherwise.

Many situations have obviously developed in the past, and yet nothing has materialised.

that wud be great . im a chelsea fc supporter thru and thru now wen i say this any man u fan wil jus go on at me but have u noticed in the second half of every game if man u r losing or not winning the ref always givs them free kicks or dosent book them if they do sumthing wrong , yet the ref wil book sum 1 on the other team if they do the same thing? anywayz lol the FA may be introducin the system in 2008 ( only rumours ) but for such thing as penalty decisions if the 4th official see's a replay , he can only give advice to the ref of the game , the referee at the time wud stil have to say if it was a penalty or not , so all in all it wud work well for sum things but the replay system wud not work rli well on pens

those advocating video replays due to last night's game is naive. controversial decisions happened before.

i am still at two minds about the use of technology in the game. decisions can go either way. i don't think the refs favour any team at all. by implying they do, that is ignorance and brining the integrity of the game in disrepute.

I'm one that don't really encourage to bring technology into the beautiful game but recently the standard of refs are poor!

human error are what up part of the game but recently decisions made are of school boys standard!!! that's absurd!

That is not a part of soccer/football. No rule has been passed to allow anything like this to happen. That is the beauty of the game, decisions are made on the spot... right or wrong it affects both teams.

I agree completely It works in all sorts of other sports and I think it should be used for all penalty decisions and offside rulings that effect a goal. Really I think all of EUFA needs to adopt it. It's not like they're going to be reviewing a play for twenty minutes or something.

The FA seem to have no grasp on real life and peoples views so its anybody's guess, maybe never, even though the need is clear to all who watch regularly

Actually they are working on it and hope to have it installed on a test basis this season for goal line decisions.

i reading something on this and read that they were consed iring putting replays but they rejected it because it would waist to much time it ain't like the NFL that when they challenge they time would stop in soccer the time never stops so they think that it will take to much time of the clock.
