Which way are you supposed to go? The easiest way to write that is just:

(a+6)^3

If you are supposed to expand it out, it's:

a^3 + 3(6)a^2 + 3(6^2)a + 6^3.

b * b^2 = b^3

plug b=a+6 into it, and get:

(a + 6)(a + 6)^2 = (a + 6)^3

(a+6)(a+6)^2
= (a + 6)^3
= a^3 + 3a^2(6) + 3a(6^2) + 6^3
= a^3 + 18a^2 + 72a + 216

(a+b)(a+b)^2
=(a+b)(a^2+b^2+2ab)
=a(a^2+b^2+2ab)+b(a^2+b^2+2ab)
a^3+ab^2+2a^2b+a^2b+b^3+2ab^2
=a^3+3ab^2+3a^2b+b^3 ans
you can also solve using the formula (a+b)^3
