I read somewhere recently that Spain will no longer televise bull fights on national TV. Apparently, they are already feeling the heat about this violent activity.

fangtaiyang, can it be possible that you live in a bull fighting society somewhere? A person of conscience can oppose immoral activity anywhere in the world. For example, it was legal to persecute and kill Jews in Nazi Germany, but many people of conscience all over the world opposed the practice and fought a war to end it. So it will be one day with bull fighting to the death. Countries that practice this barbaric activity will find themselves ostracized from the world community.

Dog fighting is just as well accepted in some circles. Both could be considered a cultural thing. Personally, I don't care for either one. When it comes to bullfighting, and rodeo, I root for the bull. The stupid humans get what they deserve. All-Das: the bullfight ends with the death of the bull, AFTER it has been tormented, barbed, stabbed, and run to exhaustion. The ONLY redeeming thing is the bull meat is usually donated to a charitable cause.

Spain is moving away from bullfighting. In many regions it is banned and others they do not participate. In my region (Andalucia) they still have bullfighting. Andalucia is famous for it's bulls.
I detest all forms of blood sports. I have no problem with it here as I'm not Spanish and this is not my country. It is their custom which I'm certain will die out within 20 years.
Many people have picked on bullfighting but every country in the world that I know, have their own bloodsports. It's man's inhumanity to kill for simply pleasure rather than food.
Lets ban boxing! Is that not a violent activity, and occasionally people die. Course fishing may be relaxing but to the fish it's a violent activity. Trophy hunting whether in the USA or deepest Africa, is that not a violent activity. Dog fighting, cock fighting, hare coursing, foxhunting, the list could be endless.

It should be banned. its brutal, and they don't give the bull a fighting chance. its like a canned hunt basically. In a real life situation, the bull would win. But they beat it down and try and act all high and mighty because they took down a bull. Cowards

While you can appeal to another nation to change their laws; its not anyones place to enforce their views onto others. Whats wrong to you may be acceptable to other cultures and you should merely hope that if your view is correct, that they will eventually come to the same conclusion.
