I guess it is just because I am getting older now and I love to go and enjoy the shopping for antiques, usually when we go we kind of make a run if you will, we go to Bandera, Kerrville, and Fredericksburg. All of them are a little bit different and all for us are fun. I can understand why a young person might not care for it but even when we were young we enjoyed it also, I guess different strokes for different folks. Some one said that they were rude there, frankly I have never seen that nor have we ever been mistreated there by anyone. Keep an open mind and enjoy it

Miserable little hick town. People are rude, can't drive worth a crap, going to the grocery store is like world war 3, it's boring. The downtown area is either unused buildings or weird and random stuff that nobody buys or uses. The restaurants are awful. Food is bad, service is bad and no variety. Be prepared that only hick music is played for live entertainment. They say it has a low crime rate, not true. My home was almost broke into multiple times, I was followed multiple times, been harassed by homeless people, had to work with a man that was a rapist and child molester. Also the drug problem in this town is just as bad as anywhere else. Don't be fooled into thinking that the "Texas Hill Country" is the promised land.

Kerrville at one time (in the 70s and 80s) had a thriving art community and several nice interesting restaurants. That has diminished over the years. There are some art galleries left but not as many as in the past. Many of the restaurants have just closed down. Fredericksburg is close by and has more antiques, cute shops, wineries, and restaurants. There is a great wine country tour in the area around Kerrville and Fredericksburg and continues east past 281 and Johnson City. Its a nice drive in the spring when the bluebonnets are filling the fields.

I've been through there numerous times and it is your typical town of 15,000 to 20,000 people in Texas. There are a lot of outdoor activities in that area - fishing hunting, hiking, camping, etc. Beyond that, while the countryside around there is pretty, it is very much like other small towns in southwest Texas. But being on Interstate 10 makes getting to it easier than some places, though.

It's boring. I've been there twice (not by choice). The two times that I went the residents were rude and snooty. The city is boring. There is nothing for young people, it's too quiet, and everything is old. There are a few new things, but it's the typical Wal-Mart, and HEB. There a no good radio stations, and TV is limited.

Yes my grandfather lived there. It is mostly a town full of older people so there isn't much to do unless you like it fairly quiet. Fredericksburg is pretty close by and it's always fun to go walk around and look at the cute shops. They also have some various fairs and events year round.

Great place for a calmer life. They have a big festival in the spring, very folksy, kinda hippish. It's right off of the river and in the middle of the hill country but not far from San Antonio.

Eh, it's okay. I didn't particularly like the people there. They were very rude to me and the group I was with. There really wasn't anything to do. Even though we were just there to do a couple of shows, there wasn't anything to do during the day. You are better off on going somewhere else if you are wanting some different atmosphere.

I drove through the town of Kerrvile and it's kind of a sleepy town so I didn't really think too much about the town really. It didn't impress me much but that's my personal opinion really.
