It is bad if you are a 35 year old woman who smokes, or you are older, it increases your chance to get a trombosis and vascular problems as well as heart diseases. It is indicated for young women not old women. Risks are more for them. It is common for women over 40 to have a trombossis due to hormones, (that happened to my mom) so with bc pill you increase your risks. I think you should use them while you´re young.
Good luck! ;D

Seriously, I don't think anyone has the answer to that. I've gone to several Ob/Gyns and family practitioners all have given me mixed answers. half say birth control has no harmful effects on the body. The other half say birth control will ruin the body.

It is true but to get all the info talk with your doc. It really depends on how long and what kind of birth control but the only real safe birth control is to be abstinate.

there's lots of literature out there about all the potential side effects birth controls have. I know the depo needle causes many women to loose bone density -so it increases the risks of osteoperosis over time.
Each type has it's own risks, you should read up on each of them seperatly to decide what you feel is best for you.
