Sounds like either the baby is pushing on your sciatic nerve or your ligaments are stretching in over drive to help bring this baby into the world.
Both are uncomfortable and both should pass very shortly (baby is nearly here). I think it is a ligament stretching more than sciatic nerve pressure, so try to think of yourself opening when you feel this pain. This process of ligament stretching needs to happen to birth the baby and many women go through it during labour, which can be intense ontop of contactions, so use it now to your advantage. Try to walk and stretch it as much as possible.
:D

The pain is likely due to your coming labor or the baby's position, but it is worth mentioning to your doctor. The sort of pain you are describing can also occur outside of pregnancy with some vascular or joint issues, and your doctor can best determine the cause.

its very common to have pain and pressure in the groin and pelvic area. i've started having it off and on and it doesn't feel good. Mine is mostly on the right side. I guess its just how the baby is positioned and may be pressing on nerves and things like that. sounds like you could be having a baby any minute now, so congrats and best wishes to you!

Its normal. The baby is lowering into the pelvis and pinching nerves. Its a common complaint from women later in pregnancy.

I had that with my daughter for about 6 weeks before I delivered her. Just try and relax, you could be pregnant for another week and a half. I was 2 weeks overdue with my first and its better to be mentally prepared.

Oh, I hate that! It's the baby's head getting down there and putting pressure on the ligaments, etc..Dont worry..Labor is soon!

I would talk to your Doctor. It could just be the baby, but it could be more serious, like a blood clot in your leg (common for pregnant ladies). Call him today to see what he thinks!!!
