That man is my soul mate. I just read from a NYT article that he doesn't use one because "I'm one of those freaks who cares what people write and say" so he likes the booklet and he also talks about hearing the evolution of the body of music. Both of these things are exactly why I've resisted an i-pod.

Anyone else not use one and why don't you?

Well kitty - I hate cell phones and the computer also. So there. I-pods do make a huge difference because you are more likely to buy songs instead of entire CD's. My favorite songs on the CD's are rarely the biggest hits.

Even though I hate cell phones, computers and ipods, the iphone is very tempting. I might break down but I hope I still buy CD's.

I hate mailing things more than anything else in the world. I love e-mail and that is the only thing I really like about computers.

T.T. - alright! I almost did a road trip to your Pageant to see Ben Harper a while back, because it looked like he was only going to do Lollapallooza here. Thankfully he's coming to a real nice venue in a couple of weeks.

I don't!! Here's why- I like to listen to CDs- the entire CD, with the songs in the order the artists saw fit to place them in- not just a single song.

Too much important music is swept under the rug if you don't listen to the entire album. The complexity of the artist's mood is lost if you just sample the album. I like the liner art and read through the band's thank yous and credits, etc.. It's all part of the bigger picture of a collection of songs.

I actually prefer album music to the songs that are radio released.. these radio stations just play stuff TO DEATH!!!

I play music in the car and at home. I don't need to have earbuds in my ears to look cool. (as if I look cool without them either)

Further- I just haven't gotten around to buying one yet..... I'd get a big one so I could download the albums from the CDs I have... SO I COULD LISTEN TO THE WHOLE CD ON MY IPOD!

I am one of the many that do not have an IPOD, nor do I intend to purchase one. My cell phone is so old it doesn't even take picture but it still works as a phone [and that is why I have it} so why bother to update? An IPOD isn't something I have to have...I'm not trying to keep up with my neighbors, co-workers etc. I am my own person in so many ways.
