Everything with my address on it. (Letters, envelopes or address labels) gets shredded

Shred everything that I don't keep as a record. I use a cross-cut shredder because it's practically impossible for an identity thief to piece them back together like some do with strip shredded letters.

I collect everything and place it into their Reply Paid response envelope with the words "Unwanted junk mail == Please remove me from your distribution list" written across any personalised element.

After the first half dozen 'returns' to Readers Digest had no effect, I took to sellotaping used paperbacks to their Reply Paid envelopes. After the 3rd one they stopped sending me further junk mail .. (lucky really, I had just found a small sized brick that would just fit into the post box ..)

I rip them up in a million pieces. I hate junk mail! Maybe it's time for a shredder.
