Bush is a sort of people who won't have the capacity to confess his close own buddy is a d*mned fool!! Loyalty is an admirable trait in canines yet while Bush replaced into somewhat a servant of the people then Gonzales might under no circumstances have even been nominated!! Gonzales resigned via fact he finally found out that if everybody despises you and could no longer artwork with then you definitely you definately might as properly circulate homestead for some peace and quiet!

Resigning is better than being forced out and facing criminal charges which is exactly what was coming for Gonzales. Also I think if the contempt charges continued it would have dragged Rove and several others in the administration into court. At least with resigning he gets to leave on his terms and the administration avoids further public disgrace. Will be interesting to see if the contempt charges still proceed.

Gonzales was not asked to resign. Bush supported him right up to the very end. He resigned because Josh Bolton went to ALL of Bush's high-ranking officials and said "if you're not planning to be here through the end of the Administration, get out now."

Gonzo Got.

The Bush administration is now officially over. "Mission Accomplished", the job is done and the workers are now going home. Now Bush will put his remaining days in office in the hands of the Washington establishment. They will make over his term as president for posterity.
By the time Bush finally leaves office, you probably wouldn't even recognize him by what the pundits will be saying about him.
Bush is a short timer and can start counting his days.

For myself, I'm not at all impressed that Gonzo resigned. It's all over for the Bush party anyway.

It's called damage control. Gonzales WILL be found to have violated the law, and that he did lie to congress. This would look worse to the White House if he were still in the administration when this happens.

Same thing with Rove.

Bush still is not safe. He is up to his a** in alligators.

He wasn't asked to resign. As a matter of fact, the President attempted to talk him out of it. You're just spinning.

Because he became ineffective, and probably perjured himself. If he were to remain, one of two things would happen:

No one would work with him or trust him.

They would try to forcibly oust him, and the battle between that and executive privilege could take until the end of Bush's term, wasting time.

How embarrassing! The Bush legacy will be one of bungling incompetence. Herbert Hoover is finally off the hook!

He was unable to continue working with the Senate, since even the Republicans there were fed up with his constant lies.
