I'm not really afraid, just uncomfortable and dislike them. I think they are very sinister since they cover their true faces with paint and hide their identities. Also, anyone who works closely with children can be creepy if they are even a little "off". And, there have been movies and books that show clowns in a frightening way...lastly, heard of a guy called John Wayne Gacy? That is the ultimate horror IMO.

They CREEP ME OUT!!!!!!!! When I see a clown and they start talking in the "Clown Voice" I want to stab them! They don't look human! The bright red hair and that nose! EEEEKKK!! Santa Clause is bad enough...But what exactly is a clown suppose to be anyway??? And they make wall paper and stuff with clown faces and put in children's rooms?? No wonder children are so screwed up!!! OK great..now I am in a vertical fetal position for the rest of the day.......thanks..

I like clowns cause I is one!

Seriously, though... in actuality do you know what a clown is suppose to be? They're supposed to be a real-life cartoon character. The bright colors are to exemplify a cartoon as for the make-up. The designs on the make-up are so you can see the facial expressions better.

That's why their actions, props, and colors are so exaggerated and even funny. Think about your favorite cartoons and compare them to clowns.

I don't like clowns because they all look like that guy from the movie "I.T"

and they are just plain creepy....whoever thought that putting makeup, a red rubber ball, saggy pants and over sized shoes on a guy who's seems to be on the uppers (pills) 24/7 has the wrong idea about humor.

my first memory is of a clown. We were at a circus and the darn clown kept telling me it was ok. and i just kept screaming more and more. My mother said i was one when this happened. I can still see it in my minds eye. Last year at knotts scarry farm. I clown got me in the Clown maze and I kept telling myself "im ok im ok" when the darn clown put me in the corner I freaked out with a capitol F!!!!! I ran out screaming and crying. I thought I wet myself. How embarrassing!!!

i dont like clowns because they could be molesters just using the makeup and the carnival to escape from being caught and clowns are just wierd looking i mean who the hell has their hair like that? I am not like "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A CLOWN!! RUN AWAY!!!!!" I can stand them just not a whole lot but if one comes near me maybe i will freak out. Another reason is because clowns are always bad guys in movies or they are always murdering in horror films.

My gf's brother's been afraid of clowns ever since 1 kicked his heinie when he was twenty and made him say uncle. He then proceeded to spank him with a twenty inch shoe and made him swallow a monkey's paw. Take care,

askaman
PS. Not to mention John Wayne Gacy was a clown and he murdered people and buried them in his basement.

I hate them. When I was a kid we saw some small circus and they ran out of seating so they sat us on the ground infront of the seats. Well, I wanted cotton candy... and when I tried to get the clowns attention who was selling it he not only ignored me but stepped on my finger, ground it into the ground breaking it and kept on going. After that I could not bring myself to like clowns.
