I live in Cartersville Ga and over the past 3-4 weeks we have had a problem with little black ants on and in our vehicles. Not just a few I mean at least 100 or more. They are all over the console, dash, seats, floor, and the shifter. I have vacuumed and cleaned the heck out of it and still everyday there are ants. They were all on and in my daughters carseat we don't allow food to be eaten in the car so I know it can't be from something someone spilled. My husband yesterday parked his beand new truck he had just bought and within 2 hours ants all over the exterior and interior of it. We have treated the yard since we have moved in 1 1/2 mponths ago and have sprayed the exteriior and interior of the house as well. I am at my wits end with them. Any suggestions on how to keep them off and out of my car would be helpful I would prefer an method that would prevent them from coming back again. I have heard that many people are having problems because of the drought.

call an exterminator or vacume your car because that'll take away the ants and there might be food in ur car that you dont know of that's attracting the ants.

Oh, what luck! Just a few days ago I was given a recipe for ant poison baits that really does work! Here it is:

1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon borax
3/4 cup water

Mix together in a small jar or similar container until the sugar dissolves. Then dip small pieces of bread in it and set them on cardboard or something else to protect your surface, and put the bait where you see the ants.

The ants will eat it and carry it back to their nests, then die. You'll see results within 4 hours, though you might need a couple of days for them all to be gone.

Good luck! For the first time in years I'm actually not fighting ants tooth and nail!

The little black ants are sugar ants. every year at this time they try to find sugar. Go to wal-mart and buy sugar ant killer, then look for little holes in the ground that's were they live.Pour it in. The End. That's what we did in it worked.Good luck
