This computer has the basic memory card (i think NVIDIA). Just like most other computers come with.
I dont play that much games on computer as I have all the game systems.

Does hard drive really matters?
I can replace the 250GB with 160GB for the computer to be exactly $600.00.

If it is new, sounds like a great deal. The 4 year extended warranty alone is worth much.
Dells are usually very decent machines.
I don´t know about all these Vista nay-sayers. I have been using it since the first Beta, and, though it does have a learning curve, I have not had any significant issues using it.
This machine certainly looks capable of handling Vista (you don´t specify the video specs, but if Dell pre-installed it, the machine must be able to handle it ok).

this is a good deal but the video card is important to check as dell , although have good value, tend to cut corners when it comes to video cards. dells are also really easy to open - just a lever so its not too hard to upgrade. you can get rid of the modem if you don't use it but if you do, the 3gb of online will be abit of a waste as youll have to wait forever for it to upload. keep the big hard drive as you never know, you might end up needing it a few years down the line and then it would be a pain to transfer stuff over to the other disk. the processor is good, provided you don't plan on installing osx86 and youll also be able to stick with windows as it is 32 and 64 bit capable. also, what sound card?

Decent price for a unit with those specs.
Having worked with HP and Dell computers for 15 years, the HP computers are very dependable and run well. But if they break, or if you decide to upgrade them yourself, they are a pain to work on. The interiors are usually poorly laid out, and it is difficult to get to any of the parts. But they rarely need servicing.
Dells are much better for servicing yourself. They are laid out for easy access, the cables are neat and held in place and the parts are usually "off the shelf" so that it is easy to replace or upgrade them.
If you are going to service or upgrade it yourself, go with the Dell. If you plan to pay someone to service the PC, go with the HP.

Sheesh! I couldn't build that computer for $620. It sounds like an excellent deal. And Dell is an excellent source.

of course! that is a great deal. in fact, a steal for that price. since you dont play games any graphic card from nVidia in that sort of computer is OK . probably a 5200 FX or higher(it will still play some games still)
Buy it!

It isn't that bad.
2GB ram, 4 year warranty and 250g hard disk...
The AMD processor isn't that great, but for that price. I think its better than an HP.

If its from Dell, its fine. Dell is a great computer company. If its from a 3rd party and not directly from Dell, I would be weary.

Depends on what you want it for.....Its a Dell. And as an added drawback, it comes loaded with Vista.

spend more, buy an apple, the windows OS is pure crap.
And if you DO buy a windoze pc, get rid of the OS and run Linux.
