I don't much care for Layla (I prefer Lila), but I do like Kyla. Always remember that when you are picking a name, you are naming an adult because your daughter will be an adult far longer than a child!

Layla is preferable to Kyla. Do you like Skyla or Skye?
It's always good to remember this child must use her name through 5+ decades as an adult.
Good luck with Baby!

Maybe I'm the only one who thinks this way but Layla reminds me of an older woman and doesn't feel like a little girl. How about Lauren, LeAnn, Leilani, or Loralei? That way these names sound good as little girls just as good as adults.
When I think of Kyla, I want to say Kyra. Therefore, I prefer Kyra/Kira over Kyla
Just my opinion.

I like Layla better than Kyla.
I knew an adorable little girl named Layla Eloise. (She was called by both names)
Of course Layla alone makes me think of the Eric Clapton song!

I love the name Layla. It's the name I've picked out for my little girl(she's due in January) except I prefer it spelled Laila.

I like them both, but I think that names that sound "fluffy" like Lola and Layla are really beach-blond ditsy girls... I don't know, that's what it reminds me of.
So I think Kyla is better. Kailey and Kylie are nice too, and Lilly.
