I have some spyware programs inside the registry key. I know because the spyware checker on my computer has shown the locations, but it's only a basic program and I have to manually get rid of them myself.

How can I safely get into the registry key?

Start \ Run\ then type regedit.

Use extreme caution when removing files from this.

Also, if you downloaded a freebie software you may want to use be extra careful as some spware and virus programs let you try them free and will falsify what is on your PC to try and get you to purchase them to clean it up.

Microsoft has Windows defender to install free. It is a spyware protection program that runs in the background and will help prevent spyware. Who better to clean up the windows registry than than Microsoft?

Try installing and running it. It will clean up the registry for you in the future

Since you're asking, you should probably use an antispyware program to just remove that spyware. It'll be the easiest, fastest, safest thing to do.

But if you're determined to edit your registry and you're a chick-

I want to take you out.

And you can check this page for instructions about editing your registry. Scroll down to the middle part...

There is a difference between spyware and a virus. You should be able to remove spyware with any good cleaner. I suspect you are being mislead by your program. The giveaway is: IT SHOULD REMOVE SPYWARE. Try adaware and leave your registry in peace.
