Don't deny yourself the opportunity to learn from the hidden lessons in mistakes and misgivings.

There was a time in my life when all I wanted to do was forget the bad times, the mistakes I had made.
I thought that if I forgot....the pain would stop.
Instead, because of the pain....I could never forget.
So I thought to myself.....What can I do to make this pain leave?
I trusted Creator that there was a lesson I needed to learn,
I searched deep, located hidden lessons, learned from them and moved forward.
With trust and new knowledge, the benefits of not forgetting
these bad times are to numerous to count. It has not been an easy journey....but it has proven to be an important one.
But most of importance, i feel, was not only did I learn from hidden lessons, but, I learned more of myself and of the others involved. This brought about a level of understanding. Understanding encouraged healing. Healing helped lessen the pain. The existing pain reminded me there was still leaning to do yet. So the journey of Life continues.
Learning and healing as I walk the road placed before me.
I am now Thankful I never forgot. It gave me the opportunity to learn and grow. To move forward.
I hurt less now, most hurts are gone completely.
It is the journey of healing my inner child.

Thank you Creator for loving me enough to teach me, Thank you for teaching me to love myself

Thank You Creator for helping me learn the hidden lessons, I trust that your guidance will always help my pains to heal.

I agree thanks for your words so true there is always a lesson to be learned. I had recently went to dinner with a friend at a place I had not visited for at least two years for some reason I thought I was strong enough to handle the event but it reminded me of a situation that was negative for 4 days straight my emotions were spiraling and I was trying to gain prospective over the situation........I think you are correct it is such a powerful learning lesson and Like you God has helped me meditate and come out of the pain and grief I felt because i am again grateful with love and friendship and all the positives in my life...........My friend and I said its always a powerful learning experience you feel and then you learn and then you move on :)))

Very insightful! The realisation of lessons learned contributes to the healing process, as does being grateful for those lessons. Pain and mistakes in life teach us as much, if not more than everything else that we learn from. It's true, life is not an easy journey. If we didn't have mistakes and setbacks, we would not have the same appreciation for the good times and things in our lives. Life is a wonderful adventure like that.
Thank you for sharing, and for the peace and love you send out. May it come back to you :)

Some of my bad times taught me how to kill. Those same times taught me also how to love. Maybe this poem can say it better than me just talking. Real Men Do Cry I lay in wait my gun in hand, I do this in a foreign land. A war is why I am right here, I am a man, I have no fear. It matters not why I need fight, From early morn till dead of night. I see the man that I must kill, An easy shot atop this hill. I aim my rifle, see his face, I know that death he'll soon embrace. I think of words I learned in youth, And pray that they had been the truth. A tear from eyes that are intent, On seeing where the bullet's sent. Tells me I wish it was not so, But in a blink his life will go. My tears for him I’m told are wrong, That I should dance and sing a song. They say a real man never cries, How can he not, when someone dies.

Much insight for one so young, many of our mistakes contain valuable lessons. Learn them well, that is what enables us to not make the same mistakes again. I have learned one valuable lesson in my 61 years, and I will now pass it on to you, just on the supposition that you may not know it yet.

Mistakes are the foundations of perfection.

Words to live by, but not the only words, just 6 good ones.

I wish for love and understanding to always be present in you.

Indeed converting memories of past adversities into learning events changes the hurtful memories into useful ones........ I believe that learning from past mistakes and failures is facilitated and even engineered by a forward looking attitude which ensures being preoccupied with the present living and future plans. Well I am looking at it from the point of view of a person who is not blessed with commendable faith in God... those who have such faith in God are always better off merely due to such faith in God's justice and delivery.

I studied this for 35 years, and found several techniques that work... some very dangerous.. one that works super...
The plan is to incorporate the technique in a book.. after I've published a few of my finished works.. but the publishing world tells me "they won't touch my stuff with a ten foot pole, because it would rock the boat bigtime".. so the only way you gonna get this technique is if you figure it out on your own...

Almost everyone would love to forget the bad things that happen to them, but in reality we must first learn from those circumstances so we can grow and be even better.
