yes, but channels are limited.

there are several websites for this.
for example, check out: beelinetv.com

EDIT: you don't need a TV tuner to watch TV from the internet. a tv tuner is to allow you to plug cable or an antenna into your computer. that's not watching tv over the internet.

There is no way to get television through the internet other than some recorded shows offered by the network or recorded illegally. There is nothing live, legally. Without the internet you can receive TV with a TV receiver board.

You can definitely watch TV on your computer that u can later record on a DVD. First, you need to make sure ur computer has a TV tuner. New computers offer u that choice (i know Dell does because thats how i got mine). Then, run your TV cable to the computer and connect it to the input. The cable u run to the computer is the Cable that will give you a cable signal. Then using a media program (like Windows Media) you set up your TV programming. It records TV for you, you can watch it live and it even downloads the TV guide from thei nternet. Also, these programs come with TV that is recorded even from channels u may not have. You can pause live TV, record live TV and the burn to a DVD--all for free--not charge for the DVR features like ur cable company charges you----all you need is a TV tuner installed in ur computer (it cost me $100 bucks)....good luck!

You have a few LEGAL choices. One is Joost. I think it's invite only, so mail me if you need an invite. They even offer HD.

The second is a Slingbox. You can connect it to a cable source and have it stream through your WiFi connection.

I personally use Orb.com. I have a dedicated PC with a TV tuner. Then ORB streams the TV to any online computer (including PDA phones!)

Finally, some TV channels are offering FREE streaming. See ABC for starters: http://dynamic.abc.go.com/streaming/landing

Yes - you can buy tv cards for computers. However here in the UK there would be a tv licence issue in the circumstances you describe.
