He and Gimli continue their friendship and go visit Fanghorn and the Glittering Caves again. I think they both work to restore Minas Tirith and the other cities that were trashed in the battles- Legolas helps with plants and such. After a while, they both sail to the undying lands (and Gimli is the only dwarf to ever do that). Aragon, Merry and Pippin, and obviously Boromir are the only one of the fellowship that don't go with elves eventually.

Legolas leaves the fellowship at the end with Gimli to visit deep places of the ent wood and journey to mirkwood and beyond.

It tells you in the chapter called Many Partings when they are all going there seperate ways after that you dont hear any more from them.

Hope this helps you

There's not too much about him that I remember.
But after the deaths of the mortal members of the fellowship, he and Gimli sailed from Middle Earth presumably to that other continent that the Elves went to.

It' been a while, but didn't Merry or Pippin go to Minas Tirith to die? I think Maybe Legolas and Gimli visited.

In the appendices to the book he and Gimli spent some time travelling together. They visited Fangorn, the Old Forest and the caves behind Helm's Deep. I think they even went to Moria, seeing as how Gandalf had destroyed the Balrog.

I seem to remember that he hangs out a lot with Gimli (doing the elf-dwarf equivalent of going bowling together) and in the end they get to sail into the West - though why Gimli got to do that, I can't remember. But it's in the appendices to 'Return of the King'.

He would eventually have sailed to the West, although he spent some time visiting Dwarf strongholds with Gimli first.

I think the book said he and Gimli made a boat and sailed to the Grey Havens when Aragorn died of old age.
