Do you have a history of miscarriage? Do you have any health issues? Are you currently healthy, and were you healthy before you got pregnant? Studies have suggested that 30-50% of fertilized eggs are lost before a woman ever knows because she goes on to have her cycle normally. Most miscarriages after implantation occur before the heart begins beating. So, around week 6 or seven, if you have an ultrasound, and see the heart beating, your chances of miscarriage drop significantly. Then, once you're past the 12th week, your chances drop again.

At 8 weeks, your chances of miscarriage dropoed a little. But your chances are still higher than someone who is beyond 12 weeks. Hang in there.
And if you do have a miscarriage, it does not mean your body "failed" you and your baby!!

What would make you assume that your body would fail your child and you?
Unless you have good reason to assume such a thing you really shouldnt. The stress alone from thinking that can cause you to lose a baby.
Stop it.

Since I was able to do a complete health and history workup based off of your one question, I'd say you have a chance. For more specific details, please see your OB/GYN.
