On the 4th of July I was lighting and throwing firecrackers when one of the exploded too early as I was throwing it and blew up about 1ft from my left ear. ( I know it was a stupid thing to do). It was very painful, and now a month and 1/2 later I still have ringing in my ear from it. Will the ringing ever stop.

You definitely need to see an ENT. There is a chance the damage to your ear can heal, but otherwise, you damaged the eardrum and more, which means the ringing (tinnitus) will remain forever.

I remember reading somewhere that there is no cure for that ringing noise, but it may just go away eventually.

U need to consult an ENT doctor.........................do not neglect any thing related to ear...........
