I love my boyfriend but sometimes I feel that he takes me for granted. I don't think that he thinks I'm speacial. He makes these statements such if we break up he would do such and such. I feel that he can see his life without me. He says he was hurt in the past and is just being realistic. Also, there was this girl that he new and during the course of our relationship she has become his best friend. I feel that that should not have happended because I should be his best friend. He continued being friends with her even though he new how I felt about it. Can we get through this?

Let me first say grow up on the friend issue. I'm married my husband loves and respects me his best friend is a girl and most definately not me. I'm not his friend I'm his partner his lover and his family much more than a friend. Talk to him explain how it makes you feel and find out what he wants from your relationship

If your boyfriend is talking about the two of you breaking up, then you are already broken. You would do best to end the relationship. You are not his best friend and he has other plans.

Go find someone who loves and respects you.

Take care,
Troy

I think it's pretty clear that he is not committed to you. Respect yourself enough to believe that you should be his best female friend at this point. Tell him how you feel, and be prepared to walk. Love is a choice, and he apparently hasn't made that choice. Don't let him take you for granted.

Sounds like a heartache waiting to happen. He doesn't seem to be as interested as you. Time to break it off and move on to someone else. Let him be the one to experience it, not you. Who knows? Talk of you leaving may straighten it right up. Good luck!

SHE is his best friend?

Forget this guy- his heart is not exclusively yours. Find a nice man who will honor and respect you and not form "Best friend friendships" with other women during the course of your relationship.

Definitely don't post in marriage and divorce. Because if you continue with him that is exactly what will happen to you.
