Simple !. First you have to make separate hole for cabinet which is larger diameter than screw. Then put your cabinet where you want to fix.In wooden/machinery wall make a hole small in diameter of screw. If you are fixing in wood than no problem otherwise you have to insert a plug. Now insert screw through it &tight using screw driver. Now your cabinate will be fitted with wall and screw will not push it apart.

The holes in the cabinet must be a clearance fit on the screw. i.e. the screw will pass through the cabinet without touching. Whats happening to you is that the screw is jacking the cabinet away from the wall.

Get a drill and drill a small hole for the screw to go into. When you screw the screw in, push on the cabinet to keep it flat against the wall.

The hole in the cabinet is too small for the screw, it should be a clearance hole, and the screw is not entering the wall plug. So the cabinet is just being driven along the screw!

Either the hole in the cabinet is too small of the screw is too fat. Tap the screws gently through the holes with a hammer before you try to fix the cabinet to the wall.

Either the screw is not going into the wood behind the cabinet, or the screw is not making a large enough hole in the cabinet.

the screw isn't going into the wall so the threads are pushing the cabinet out as you turn it. either try redrilling the hole and putting a different wall plug in or give it some real elbow grease. also check that you have everything in line or you could be there all day trying to screw it straight through an undrilled wall. good luck

You could be hitting a knot hole in the studs behind the cabinets. Its very hard to screw through those.
Just make a new pilot hole and screw into another part of the wood.

Make a hole in the cabinet so the screw turns freely,(not to big). Then pre-drill the stud through that hole with a drill smaller than the screw, the problem is the screw is not starting in the stud.

It depends on what's behind the wall. Hopefully it's wood. Also, you should make the hole in the cabinet just a little bigger than the screw. Then try again. Use more muscle too.
