A student should always put school first. Even if the student is employed, their focus should be geared towards their studies rather than their job. College will set you up with a career for the rest of your life, and therefore, is more important in the long run. The amount of money a student spends on their education these days is more than they are making at work. They should plan their work around their school schedule instead of vice versa. The duties and obligations of being a student include showing up to class on time, being respectful of other students and their education, and getting the most out of their college education.
