it is such a shame that someone who is so intelligent and honest is driven out of service by hate and innuendo. we all lose as well as the Latino community. the Dem's will continue their vendetta against anyone who is on the opposing side. he should have been more agreesive rather than trying to be civil and refusing to lower himself to their level. critics allege wrong doing dispite overwhelming proof and no evidence of wrong doing...only repeated allegation. we you repeat something long and often enough, some people assume that it must be true. this is why it will become more and more difficult to have people who are honest to run for public office.
we have lost a fine american who just wanted to service his country today.

He is what used to be called "wolf meat".
In the winter when travel was difficult, people would carry a bag of meat scraps so that if wolves were tracking them they could drop bits of that meat as they went. The wolves would stop to eat the scraps and that would delay them catching up.
Bush has waited much too long. Once Congress revokes his executive privileges people like Gonzales will have to testify or go to jail, might do both.

He suddenly recalled something illegal that he and Karl did. So they have both resigned together. Now they will hire each other as lawyers, so they can claim atorney-client privilege and keep it all a secret.
Anybody who still supports him, either has not seen this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IBvZlRqOTw or thinks that saying 'I don't recall' is the same as telling the truth (these are the same people who hounded Clinton because he lied about his personal life)

Republicans and Democrats alike had demanded his resignation over the botched handling of FBI terror investigations and the firings of U.S. attorneys, but President Bush had defiantly stood by his Texas friend until accepting his resignation Friday.
He must have learned a bit from his "good" friend George Bush (declared war without congress's approval, lies about everything, breaks the laws ....).I guess he should pick his friends better next time.

Because he is criminal and hopes for a pardon.
Strontium_9T. Racism? Pulled that card really fast didn't you. Usually done when you have no logical argument. Gonzales, Cisneros, Morales, a pattern emerges? Racist? If you wish.

Because he didn't stand up to the demos and tell them where to get off. He lost the confidence and control of his department.
But at least he didn't order the horrible burning death of 20 children like a previous attorney general did!

Who is Gonzales? I don't seem to recall someone with that name.
What does the word 'resign' mean? I can't seem to recall.

Because he's a crook, the heat was on and he's trying to save his skin. Of course Bush will have a pardon for him, just like for Rove, Wolfowitz, Rummy and Cheney..

The thing that first pops to mind is: Rats? Why do they leave the ship?
Edit:
Okay, I know that didn't answer the question but I couldn't help it. Cut me some slack; this isn't the Harvard entrance exam.

He's been thrown to the wolves over the firing of the us attorneys supposedly involved in the white house leak and has NOT gotten any support from Bush and Cheney. Nixon showed his people more loyalty.
