Where is the cheapest place to park if you are visiting the riverwalk? Does the Rivercenter validate parking?

It used to be common for everyone in Rivercenter to validate. Now that is essentially limited to the theatres. Rivercenter is still an excellent place to park, however. There are several other parking areas around the downtown/Riverwalk district and the prices are for the most part the same. I will advise that towing in private parking lots is used quickly and is not a good idea. I had an office in the downtown area and we had a free parking area for our clients. But, there was also a person assigned to watch for people using the parking and walking away. If they did not come in as clients, the towing service was called and arrived in about 5-10 minutes.

Across the street from Macy's is very cheap to park at. Imax, AMC and maybe the Rivercenter Comedy Club validate parking for 3 hours.

On College Street there is a parking garage that is relatively cheap. I feel pretty safe there. It is across the Nix hospital and the 21 speed biker cops have a substation on the bottom floor.
