I was born raised and bred in Southern Virginia. I have lived all over the USA. I am now in Canada, which I believe is the greatest country in this world. I honestly dislike Americans. The vast majority of Americans are genuinely obese, arrogant, and by far more ignorant.

It's an awkward and out of the way kind of a question. How ever, there is always some confusion about attitude of other people about Americans and their governments. The general and majority opinion of most people about Americans is that they are open, friendly, socially, economically and technically advanced, strongly democratic and care for lessor people and also LUCKY(for being Americans). The least is said about their successive governments the better but here also, a large number of Americans also feel the same way and openly say so about their governments and Presidents in particular.Yahoo can not be an exception.

I don't hate all Americans as the majority are fine, however there are too many bible bashers who believe far too much in god and are under the belief that their country is the greatest. I also feel that the American government may well be one of the most corrupt organisations in the world which are currently trying and succeeding in brain washing every single person in America.

I don't dislike Americans as people. There are a lot of good people there and the USA has contributed so many great things to the world, However, there is something sick and rotten about modern America and its culture and some of its people. And its government is pure evil.
There is a still a core of real American culture there, the culture that made the USA such a great country at one time. I hope it can be saved and I hope it will flourish again.
Of course, all of these criticisms apply equally to the UK.

If you imagine every country in the world as a family..The Asians would be the ancient grandparents, the europeans and scandinavians would be the parents and the Americans the immature youth. Unfortunately the youth has more power than his elders.....and doesnt know how to use it quietly or sensibly. You cant hate the Americans any more than you can hate children who misbehave.

I am American and find this question intriguing. Seriously, can you explain for me how on Earth one could decide to "dislike Americans" -- a population in excess of 300,000,000 -- having "met" the most miniscule sample of them via this vehicle?? And I find it interesting that you invoke one of America's most sacred rights while discussing your dislike of them. It is just such a juxtaposition that makes America great.

Difficult to say. You know better.
What do you mean when you say Americans.
Americans are kind heated people, they are first to give help and make contributions in many ways including volunteering their time and energy. They are first to start the HELP in times of crisis when any other part of the world are in need of help. Americans give generously.
When you say Americans do you mean anyone who comes to live in America.

I don't think you can gather any country's inhabitants into one group.
Judging a country's people based on stereotypes and rhetoric is how we get into this fucked up cycle of hate in the first place.
