Any help is welcome. Although I don't know if there is a possibility for the Americans to be here in time, because of the distance. However, if they had mad such a decision they could be here already.
As to the two countries, we are friedns and allies anyway. But in front of a disaster like this, politics and diplomacy don't matter. When Turkey and Greece had some very bad earthquakes, we both helped each other, despite any political differences, and we were close together. After all, we are all inhabitants of the Earth, and that's what is at stake right now.

And krennao, sure we have had fires before, but this time this is an organised plan, where more and more fires are being put where the firemen manage to control the previous ones. We definitely don't have enough planes or people to control the situation, and if you think the tax payers' bucks in tragedies like this, I am sorry for you and I understand why New Orleans was left to a devastated situation for so long.

And mad as hell, we have ASKED for other countries to interfere. There is a difference when you interfere by bombing people who do not want you to and when you respond to a cry for help.

Yes they should, but its not a matter of experience, they need planes that can operate in High gail force winds that for some reason are pounding the area, spreading the fires. Plus U.S. satelite technology could spot the bastdards that are lighting the fires.

Peace

I think they should. Greeks did send help with the Katrina, didn't they? And once again humanism is what counts. If countries help each other in difficult situations, they get a point from ordinary people.

Don't we as the citizens of the U.S. already do enough for the under developed nations of the world? My god man how far do you think the tax dollar can stretch before it breaks. The French are already helping the Greek let the French finally finish something they have started without us the United States of America bailing out the French yet again.

I sympathize with the Greek for their fires but who helps the U.S. when California, and all the rest of our western states are on fire? The Greek, I think not !

Good luck, to the Greek

No, it's pretty much asking the tax payers to put out their fire. I am sure they will get it under control. Why is it that you think Greece can't handle putting out fires? I am sure this country has had many fires before. They have been around longer then the US has, I am sure they have plenty of experience to get the job done.

I say screw the outside world. All I hear, especially on this site, is what a bunch of selfish losers Americans are and I'm sick of it. If the Europeans think Americans are just white trash, then let them handle theor own problems. If not for us, they would be either under Fascist rule of Nazi Germany or under soviet dictatorship of the USSR.
