Circumference is the measure of the distance around a circle. Diameter is the measure of a straight line across the area of a circle that passes through the center of the circle.

The diameter of a circle is the distance from one side of a circle to the other traveling through the center point of the circle. The circumference of a circle is the distance around the outside of the circle.

They're related by the constant pi (~3.14), c = pi * d (circumference = pi * diameter).

Dia (as in diagonal) means to cut across, and the diameter of a circle 'cuts across' the circle passing through its center which is the longest line that can divide the circle (exactly in half). Circumference (similar to circumnavigate the globe) means to pass along the perimeter of the circle and when the point of origin is reached the circular distance is a measure of the circumference.

circumference: The circumference of a circle is the distance around the outside of the circle. It could be called the perimeter of the circle.
If there is park shaped circle, then the "distance you walk arround it", to complete one round called "circumference".

diameter: If you draw a straight line in circle passing by its center & touches the outer on both end, then length of this line is diameter.
or
twice of radius is diameter.

Relation: circumference=(22/7)*Diameter

i think the fringe is the exterior of any closed shape and circumference is the fringe of a circle and basically a circle. Circles are particular via fact up have the dating of diameter cases pi equaling the circumference. this does not artwork with ovals or the different 2 dimensional curved shapes.

Circumfernce for a circle is the area around the circle. Circumference is classified as a special kind of permiter.
Formula
C= circumfernce D=Diameter R= radius
C=Pie(3.14)*D or pie(3.14)*2r
Diameter is a line that goes through the center point in a circle
D=r*2
Radius is a line that only goes half way through a circle.
R=D/2

The "cicumference" is the length of the perimetre around a circle.
A straight line passing through the centre intersects the cicumference at two points. The total distance between these points is called the "diametre"

Circumfrence is the distance around the circle, analagous to a perimeter. Diameter is the length, through the center, from one side of the circle to the other.

The formula for cicumference is diamter x pi, which is about 3.14 x diameter.
