Narrow minded people see the world in black and white, right or wrong, my way or the highway. That responder is likely one with that kind of viewpoint. They should be glad that Gonzalez is resigning because it may put to rest any of the hearings and so on that those same sort of people were whining about. They are the kind that want strict absolute obedience to fearless leader like one would find in a totalitarian state. They don't understand that democracy thrives on dissent and difference of opinion. Some how they seem to take it seriously like they have personally been insulted or have failed because the failure of their gods is exposed. They can't respond rationally or humbly but lash out saying the other side must hate America because they don't agree with them.
It is sad that people who live in the greatest democracy ever to exist would accuse others of such treason just because they excercise the very democracy all are so proud of.
Being happy about the resignation of Gonzo is something that should be shared by all. For different reasons people should rejoyce in his departure. The Democrats can rejoyce because he is gone and can feel some vindication in pressuring him to leave. The Republicans can rejoyce to see him gone because it will allow the spot light to be shined somewhere else and not on the Attorney General's office. His poor decisions were making Republicans look bad. With major elections coming up the GOP can hardly afford any more negative publicity. Get him out and done with should be thier desire and probably is.

I doubt that this specific event is indicative of anyone being particularly hateful of the US, but, you must admit, the consistent negativity and relentless knee jerk bashing IS indicative of a consistently hateful mindset and this is just the latest vehicle for it's expression.
It has been accompanied by a bashing of the replacement even before a name has been announced.
How could you possibly hate someone you are not even sure exists?
Obviously, this willingness to embarrass ones own intellect can not be described any other way and is clearly motivated by a distaste for the way the country is and a desire for radical change.
Radical change = Liberal
That change will not be for the better, it's an ideal that has proved it's self to be harmful.

however you look at it, liberal or conservative, he is the last rat to vacate the ship before the captain sinks with it....the only question from an outsider is how corrupt can a society be that he survived so long and his resignation comes on a day when the nation will be preoccupied with the dog fighter...will anyone ever wake up to this orchestrated political deception..think no.

I LOVE my country!!
Gonzales resigning IS the best for the country!!
I am relieved!
Our country is more important than one man or any group of people who are damaging the foundation of our country, the constitution!
Leadership needs denency, honor, and integrity.
These things have been sorely lacking over the last 20 years!!
Winds of change!!
Good bye, Fredo!
How about taking Jr. with ya?!

If you watch Bill O'Reilly or listen to Rush Limbaugh you will understand this logic. Because only they are TRUE americans, anyone that opposes them is obviously unamerican. If you love America, you will support this President and everyone in his administration. The other people just attack him because they hate America and love terrorists.
Read the posts of these people here. They constantly insist that to be liberal is to love terrorists; that to be morally opposed to the war in Iraq is to want soldiers killed; and that President Bush's approval rating would be fine if it were not for the liberal media.

He disgraced the country being "happy" about it whether liberal or conservative is wrong. No one should be happy if someone who does wrong is caught, because someone has done wrong. It should be an indication of the lack of morals liberal and conservative in this country, it should be a somber thing either way. I consider myself moderate neither liberal or conservative (because most liberals are hypocrites just like conservatives). I hate the John Stewart show as much as I hate the Bill O'Reilly show. America needs to deal with its own form of extremism, the extreme ideals of liberal and conservative.

I am liberal=I love America
It must be an oxymoron. But there are a lot of us oxymorons out there. I am not sure how one evolved into another. But hate will twist anything to make it spin right.

It's not, Gonzales was a Bush/Cheney criminal and the Republican propaganda machine will spin it in their direction, but the facts are the country is better off with one less criminal in our pitiful excuse for a Federal Government. Getting sucked into an argument between conservative vs liberal agenda is a tactic to distract the general public and those of us who vote from real issues. We are all "Americans" and the current Federal Government is a wholly owned subsidiary of corporate elitist interests, serving their own corporate agenda not the best interests of the American people.
It is what it is, we do the best we can with what God gives us, and I for one will vote straight Democrat for the rest of my life because of Bush and Cheney. I regret voting for George W. Bush the first time he ran, my mistake, I won't ever vote Republican again.

I'm not sure either but why are you so happy about a guy losing his job? Does this go with the liberals "bad economy "theory or is it just that liberals are working their way to the top to bring the president down since conservatives did it to Clinton?

Are you surprised with that logic? This is the group of people who follow and support GWB's every decision - right or wrong. To them, that is patriotism. You must support the leader of the country and his party....or you are unpatriotic. To me, that makes you a blind follower and a fool...but hey, I'm just a dumb Canadian, eh...what do I know?
