As someone who generally supports the policies of this administration, I am upset at Gonzales for doing such a poor job - he's at best incompetent and at worst a liar - and at Bush for appointing him.
Democrats may have been investigating something that was not criminal or improper, but that does not excuse giving untrue testimony to them - which is what apparently has occurred.
I am loyal to principles, and support politicians who are the "best available" for carrying them out. I am not necessarily an apologist for any particular person or party. It's liberating, among other things, to be that way.
PS As on many Mondays, I vowed that THIS would be the week I would not log on or answer questions. I have no willpower. :(

Good riddance, the guy was a big a disgrace to America as Bush and Cheney. As soon as we elect a Democrat to the Presidency we can start to try and undue some of the damage these corporate vampires have done to the United States industrial economic base and the people it once supported. People live locally, not globally and the part of the globe that matters most to the general electorate is that little part we live on. You can think "globally" all you want, you live locally.

Not really, he brought it on himself. What he did was not illigal just not to professional. He should have documented the fireings better. However, it was the Democrates who really fired him not the Presedent. The Democrates hate the President so much that they will hurt anyone close to the President. Its sad that poor man really didn't do anything wrong really.

I think the whole affair was much ado about nothing. Many attorneys have been fired. Clinton fired a slew of them for no reason when he first took office. He should not have resigned.

Actually, sure, I'm upset.
Upset that he's getting away with murder.
Gonzales should be prosecuted for obstructing justice.
Why don't the members of bush's administration have to obey the same laws as John Q. Public?

No, he should have been fired a long time ago.
He, Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld, John Ashcroft, and Scooter Libby, simply add to disgrace of this administration.
I hope Dick Cheney is next to go.
