if u receive the email, just add that address on your contact list or in the subject field, you add a word and your hotmail filter will see that word and put it in a "from site" folder.
Use a hard word or just like this "abcderftsjjs23".
u add the subject field before you send the mail from the web-side. good luck

normally mails from php (from a linux server with MIME-Version: 1.0) will land up in inbox for all including hotmail,
i dont think itz that easy to check where it lands,
are you trying some html formatted mail or plain text,
if plain text then no problem(except the the receiver dont add ur mail as spam)
if html then the receiver must have to add your address to white list hten only your html formatting will work
in that area yahoo is good, gmail is bad, hotmail is ugly

Placement of an incoming email into a spam folder depends upon:
a. the person who fetched the email and commanded it to be placed into the spam folder or
b. the software that fetched the email, and the software was by default set up, initially, to fetch the email and place it in the spam folder...in this case the person "owning" the software never told the software otherwise, ...or
c. the software that fetched the email, and the software was TOLD by the person who "owns" the software, to place the software (via "filter") into the spam folder
In all three cases, a, b, and c, it is totally the responsibility of the person on whose email receiver the email arrives.

also ensure that your have proper dns records for the server the mail is seent from as hotmail dose check the dns records, and if they dont tally will automatically get put in junk, also there is a hotmail verification, so you can get you sender marked as safe

ignore what jim said, he's probably just jealous lol
many sites have a sort of auto inbox/junk type.
ie if you have admin@yahoo.co.uk it will most likely goto junk, however if you use info@yahoo.co.uk it will go into inbox.
The best thing to do is try it out for yuorself
