When should I start preparing for it, I'm a Junior now?

I just walked in and took it without studying. If you did really well on the SAT, studying probably won't help much. If you are weak in math and can't do the simple problems in the sample test, start reviewing how to do them now.

I didn't study at all for the general test, and got essentially the same scores I had gotten on the SAT. If you're happy to get about the same score as you got on the SAT, then I recommend you do the same.

For the subject test, you should start reviewing well in advance. There may be little bits of the material covered on the subject test for your subject that aren't in the standard curriculum in your department. You should make sure you identify these things with plenty of time left to learn them.
