I never feel like I'm too old to read manga or watch anime. Both manga and anime have multiple genres aimed at many age groups, from small children to adults (and by adults I don't just mean hentai). Shounen anime/manga are aimed at boys 14-17 Shoujo anime/manga are aimed at girls 14-17 Seinen anime/manga are aimed at men 18-30 (sometimes older) Josei anime/manga are aimed at women 18-30 (sometimes older) There are also anime and manga for younger children, as stated earlier. I'm 16 and am still diving deeper into the anime/manga world, and I don't want to leave for a long time. I truly believe being an otaku will follow me for years, even after I've graduated college, gotten married, and had children.

Only if you make yourself feel that way. But if you enjoy watching anime and reading manga why stop? You would be surprised at how many people of all ages enjoy these. Anime has been around since the 1950s. Someone of different ages groups besides 10-15 year olds are watching these.

Nah. A lot of people in Japan in their 20s watch anime. Maybe not Naruto and Inuyasha (although their are a few), but a ton watch Death Note, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and others.

Nah I wouldn't say that you're too old. Think about the shows that you're watching, some of them have very mature themes to them.

Part of what makes anime and manga so popular is their complex plots and sometimes these plots are best appreciated when a person is older, so no you're not too old.

If this makes you feel better anime is like a intense drama or a soap opera just animated. If live action dramas are acceptable to watch then why not the same thing only animated?

The answer is "No" . You know ppl who don't read manga or watch anime think that all of those stuffs are for kids. Even my mother laughed at me when I told her there are manga for adults. :(
It's not true. Manga and anime have many genres. And nothing wrong to enjoy something for kid, it's lighten up our life. :)

No as most of the artists and writers are over 20. Are they too old to be drawing and writing it?

The answer is 'NO'. On the other hand, outside a selected group of people who 'understand' anime and manga, you will at first look stupid and as you get older, sad and then crazy. Ignore them and press on doing what you want!
