LOL YUP IN HIGHSCHOOL.. I WAS LATE AND WAS WAITING FOR THE BUS... MAYBE TWICE.. SAME SITUATION... VERY VERY STUPID NOW!!

When I was a freshman in high school, I walked 3 miles home everyday because I couldn't stand the bus. There was an attractive senior girl who drove past and offered me a ride home, which I accepted. She was really nice -- didn't murder me or anything.
At least I think she was a senior, but I'd never seen her again.

she wasnt a stranger exactly, but she was my neighbor . she was kinda scary, thats just the kinda lady she is. i missed the bus and no one was home so i couldnt go back to my house. and i was gunna run all the way to my friends bus stop which isnt too far but i had all my lacrosse stuff . and the chances of me missing the bus were big. so my neighbor ( she isnt really our neighbor, she lives like around the corner but still). and she was seeing if her daughter got on the bus and i was just standing there like an idiot and she was like. ill take you to the bus stop.
yepp/ not that exciting . but i did take a ride from her. even if she wasnt a stranger.

I have. My car broke down on the highway, out of state, & I had no choice. To tell you the truth, I was scared to death. I'm sure a higher power was watching over me since I am female & the ride had three guys!!!

Yes, when I was young I used to hitch-hike everywhere.
I even hitch-hiked from Kansas to California, once.
