This sometimes happens, it's nothing to worry about. If your mouse is optical or laser, (when the pc is shut down), wipe the underside with a lint free slightly damp cloth. If it's an ordinary one, (when the pc is shut down), turn it over and remove any retaining screws. Gently separate the top and bottom. Inside you will see two small wheels, using your fingernail remove any build up of fluff/dust and re-assemble. :)

When the mouse is not in a stable position, like rough surface, slightly tilted desk, un-intended kicks or movement to the mouse cable, or the cable is under tension, the mouse will has un-noticeable movements that will be reflected through the cursor motion especially if the speed of the cursor is set at high speed.

Be sure that the mouse is in a stable position and its cable is relaxed, also you can change the speed of the mouse to make less sensitive. Unplug and re-plug the mouse after that the cursor should move only when you move the mouse.
