I know it may well be because we tend to associate with people most like ourselves but I have never met anyone in real life that I could describe as a Liberal.
Do you know anyone who thinks the European Convention on Human Rights is a good idea, that our Immigration Policy makes sense, that Justice isn't skewed towards the criminal today and that we've got it right with our 'rights before responibility' culture? Could go on with this list but sure you get the idea.
Obviously these people do exist (and fair play to them) just feels like they are given undue attention in the media.

Duriel - the BBC is not remotely fair in its reporting - it has an institutional anti-Israel, anti-Christian problem as indicated by some of its senior staff

I think very few people are as liberal or conservative as they come across in the media or even here on Y!A. Most people will fall towards the middle. It is easier to be an extremist behind a keyboard.

Anyone, with half a brain, is liberal on some issues and conservative on others. Only the dim witted are really radical enough to be liberal on all issues or conservative on all issues.
And those people spend most of their time hiding out in their basements. Which might explain why you haven't met any.

I am a liberal.
A good media outlet always tries to be as least bias as possible. BBC is the most fair in their reporting.
BBC is not anti Israeli. Just because one is critical of Israel's policies, does not mean that he/she is an anti semite or hates Christians.
I hate it when people bring politics and religion together. You people are a shame to humanity.

yeah *points at self*. it's just that society blames all the bad things on us, i.e. being too soft with criminals, immigration, etc. so the way i see it, it's that some of them are too scared to admit they're liberals. it shouldn't have to be like that but hey that's life. i'm not scared of saying who i am, so i'll continue being liberal despite all the stick i'll get. the media gives us a bad name

Yeah!
I know quite a few from at work, they work over in the environmental section. They are eco Nazis and they live that mind set off the job. They are some of the most unhappy people I know and I don't feel sorry for them. I like to watch them stew in their own self ridicule and eco depression.
