Asking this because, I was on the train this morning and seen my ex, I did not look at her again as she is an ex for a reason. But my friend was with me & as we got off the train, he said she continuously looked. Is it because I have gotten myself back on track and treated my self to a new hairstyle, clothes and joined the gym.
I kind-off feel bad for not saying hello, it was an awkward situation. But I like to leave the past as it is and not try to jog memories.

when we run into an ex, old feelings might come up, but yes, EXs are EXs for a reason.
you could have said "hello" but you didn't.... whatever works.
and just because you look better doesn't mean you had a personality transplant, i see.

There was no reason you had to say hello to her, just like she choose not to say hello to you, so it appears that possibly she also likes to leave the past as it is.
If you made some major changes, she may have been surprised by the difference (hence the 'looking') but that in no way means that she still has feeling for you or that she was 'hurt'. And frankly, I think it seems a little arrogant that you think that might be the case (well, that and the fact that you refer to yourself as 'gorgeous').

Well, how did you get that big head in the train? Sorry but you seem still in love with the girl you want her to see what she gave up I feel you. I would want my ex to think the same.
Bottom line its over you're looking good and you owe it to yourself. You certainly have high self esteem but the looks ain't always it. You both choose not to say hi so let it be and keep on stepping on.
Keep going to the gym and keep your head up.

There may be a part of her that is reminiscing about the past.
You did have a history together, and seeing you looking good may have brought up memories of the good times you and her shared together (you must have had them, otherwise you would not have been together in the first place).
The familiar can be very alluring in an insecure world, even if it wasn't the best of times.

First of all, I think the title of your question makes you seem much more shallow than you probably are.
Maybe she just wasn't sure if was you because you looked different and didn't seem to notice her.
It sounds like you're reading more into things than you should be.
I'm just wondering why it took a break-up to get you "back on track"? People generally do that when they're trying to prove something to the person they broke up with. Are you SURE you're not looking to get back with her?

well being honest, Id be like you and wouldnt be too bothered bout checking out an ex as like you say they are an ex for a reason, but I guess it does suffice to say that it could get to a person to see their ex looking all nicely quiffed up and stylish so yeah It could have gotten to her allright
I wouldnt worry about not saying hi to her - there was nothing stopping her from saying hello to you first!

Its weird to be so close to someone and then be seperated, she was probably just looking at you innocently, and you should feel bad for not talking to her, its really rude. You should be the bigger man and show her how you have grown. Not just on the outside, on the inside is the most important place

no it would nt hurt me ~ and stick with your gut instinct# you felt it wasnt the right time to say hi so no biggie~
its like seeing an apple all lovely and polished and not knowing theres a sneaky worm gnawing at the heart of it~ so for your friend he sees the apple and for you well you knw about the worm~ so shouldnt matter how good the apple looks~shouldnt hurt

No, it doesn't hurt me. My ex is a very nice looking man. But every time I see him I think about all the slapping, name calling, and tearing down of my self-esteem that he did, and suddenly he's not that great looking.

It may only hurt if the ex still has emotions towards you. Otherwise, it could mean absolutely nothing and she's sizing up the changes.
