I was given a beautiful orchid for Mother's Day, but by the end of June all of the blossoms had fallen off. Someone told me that orchids become dormant until next spring...is this true or is there something I can do to revive it?

Keep the orchid where it's happy and continue its scheduled watering. Eventually, the leaves will grow out and the flower will rebloom.

I bought an orchid for my wife last Christmas and it stayed in bloom for months. The bottom leaves are huge and now I have additional growth growing where the stalk was grafted. So far, no blooms, but I continue with its watering in the hopes it will come out again.

Orchids bloom once a year.
