I've got a copy of Reo Speedwagon doing a song by that name,and it sounds very like a Jim Steinman big big production number,i wonder if it was, what album is it off, and is that the correct title,it might be "Makin' love Out of Nuthin' At All" Does anyone know?

That was the Australian band Air Supply who sang the song.

I know Air Supply did that song and it was indeed written by Jim Steinman. I don't know about REO though.

It is a matter of opinion whether REO was good or not, back in the day they were very popular, but now people pretty much think they suck.
