The bible says god loves everyone unconditionally.
The church hates homosexuals.
There's a difference.

The Bible tells us to "judge not lest ye be judged".I try to live my life like that as best I can. I think people try to validate their own bigotry and hatred by hiding behind God and the Bible. I can not speak for those people who spread hate, I thought God's message was one of love. I believe I'm a Christian but I'm not much of a church goer. Somewhere along the way church goers have forgotten that Jesus had very human emotions in the Garden of Gethsemane. Do they forget .." Jesus wept" another sign of human emotions.Unfortunately interpretations of the Bible will be biased by human standards. If we are to love some people more than others then we should be reading "Animal Farm" where all animals are created equal but some are more equal.

I understand what you're saying. Look, I grew up in a Baptist household and I still don't understand why people are like that. If God loves everyone, why would he point out a specific set of people to send to h*ll based on sexual preferences(i.e gay/lesbian, bi, transgender)? Here's something I noticed about our society. They say we are free to choose our own religion, but if someone declares that they are gay or whatever, they(big bible thumpers) come in trying to force their beliefs down that person's throat. They are hypocrites if you ask me.
I'd like to end this with a quote that I live by: "Who are we to say what is a sin in God's eyes?" That quote comes from the movie The Scarlet Letter with Demi Moore and Gary Oldman(this interpretation wasn't so good, but that quote is great).

i think that people say things for god. no one should talk about what god believes in or what he likes or doesn't. his god, he doesn't need a mindless human to choose for him like the Vatican thinks it can. i think the vatican is the devil dressed in gods word, you shoudl belive in god alone and his almighty but i don't think his out there to hate us and discriminate, i think he expects us to be the best humans we can be, by not killing each other or hating. i think he loves it when we love others and no way would he think that loving a same sex person is wrong. i think it just comes down to the science of man passing the 'seed' on if you will. homosexually has been limited to that inthe past but as you can see it might be getting beter with gays being great parents of their own children or fostering the unwanted who might be a great addition to society

After finding at some boards approximately legalising gay marriage, i observed there are countless human beings bashing on the bible. i myself, am a Christian. So, to place issues in attitude, enable me make some issues sparkling: whilst battling for or against comparable-intercourse marriage, you're able to desire to look at what the definition of marriage is. the way I see it, marriage is the religious union between guy and female. Marriage is likewise between the seven sacraments of the Christian faith (alongside with baptism, priesthood, and so on). it extremely is a element of Christianity. Assuming people who hate on the bible are atheists, why won't be in a position to a gay couple merely stay mutually in the comparable residing house without being married? Why are they battling for comparable-intercourse marriage? How do they define marriage? Why is it so significant to them to get married, in the event that they don't even have confidence in the sanctification, holiness and spirituality of marriage? Why do they could desire to formally get married, in the event that they don't even have confidence in marriage? those are the questions you're able to desire to evaluate whilst discussing this situation. it is why it extremely is significant for advocates of similar-intercourse marriage to be responsive to what they're extremely battling for. I, in my opinion, am thoroughly impartial on the comparable-intercourse marriage situation. Do I oppose it? No. Do I help it? No. i'm not against it, provided that i think of gay ppl have unfastened will. yet, because of the fact of my Christian ideals, i don't help it the two. To be straightforward, i admire gay human beings as people, yet I classify the strikes of homosexuality as sinful. i'm not judging the 'SINNER', merely condemning the 'SIN'. there's a difference. the reason being that i've got confidence the ACT of homosexuality is unnatural and impure. Does that justify Homophobes assaulting, abusing and discriminating Homosexuals? extremely not.

God and Christians do not hate Gays. God hates the sin not the sinner. We as Christians are instructed to love the sinner not embrace the sin. God does not hate people He abhors sin and has made salvation available to all so that they might have eternal fellowship with Him. He created people in His image and gave us certain rules to follow and guidelines on how to live. When we disobey God we sin and this causes God's disfavor with us until we repent and seek His mercy and forgiveness through His Son Jesus.

well i dont belive God hates anyone...
He just hates their actions...
And i also dont belive in hell...
Many profess that god is loving but if he is loving
would he sentence people to a life time of burning
solitude? Hell is just a way for catholics to get
people to obey the bible....

I think it just the human nature for certain groups to point fingers at a certain group to take emphasis off of one's self.
