I dont think so, some people are obviously above the law. What if Vick would have been caught drinking and driving, under the influence of cocaine, and in possesion of cocaine...would he only go to jail for one day? What if I did it? What would happen to me?

FYI...I dont support Michael Vick! I think he is a horrible person who should be thrown away forever. I was just putting the comparison out there. OK, how about we take Michael Vick away from all of this and put my brother for example there. Do you think my brother would get away with all the driving violations? Thats all I was saying, just making some conversation. Maybe some people, not all, should pull thier heads out of your asses and read the intent of the question. If the shoe fits...wear it! Sorry I may have made some people cry. Another thing, just because your brother or whatever is a drunk that cant call a taxi and gets away with it doesn't mean cops cater to everyone in the military. Maybe you should put some kind of questions about police and military personnel encounters before you stereo-type all of us, to include the police. Wrap your mind around that for a while.

I'm getting sick and tired of this argument. What if someone else did it? No one else did it. Michael Vick did it. No one can speculate about what would happen if it was someone else. If you got caught drinking and driving twice in 4 months, unless you're rich, yes you would face a harsher penalty. Sorry but that's the way it is.

I also just saw that you're an army wife, so you should know that not all people are treated the same.
I have a friend who is in the military and he's been pulled over 3 times for drinking and driving. Everytime he shows his military i.d. and the cop takes him home.

The penalty would be same because the penalty is based on federal guidelines. The outrage would be the same because she is rich and famous. She probably tell everyone how sorry she is from the beginning, where Mike Vick told everyone he was innocent. A lot of the outrage is the fact Mike Vick did the usual rich person "above the law" act saying who cares what he does people will still support him. And according to this question... he is right.

They would put you away and throw away the key. Michael Vick deserves everything that has happened to him but these divas who get a slap on the wrist are not being taught a lesson. This was not the first time Lohan has been caught what are they waiting for?till she kills or maimes someone with her lethal weapon of her careless attitude towards others?

First off, NFL players get DUIs all of the time, and rarely see a prison cell. Running a dog-fighting operation is a serious offense. It creates a criminal element involving gambling and drugs. It's not like Vick was holding Texas Hold em' games in his basement. Although, I did chuckle at the thought of Lohan, Britney, and Paris drunkingly cheering at the dog fights, the penalty would be the same.

I would hope so. But for some ominous reason, I doubt it. People like the Hiltons, Lohan and Richie, they're above the law. I won't say why; it's been said too many times already.

If you were caught it would depend on how good of a lawyer you had. And if you are pulling the race card here, look at all the black athletes that have been let go. Ray Lewis etc.

Your comparison is idiotic. Your support of a monster who systematically tortured, starved and sadistically murdered dogs over a period of SIX years is demented. Something is very wrong with you. Below are a couple of links to some average joe's who were convicted of animal abuse. One is serving 30 years the other 10 years.

So get your head out of your ***** and quit defending a monster, because Michael Vick IS going to jail, he IS suspended from the NFL, and the Falcons ARE going to go after money already paid to him. There is nothing you can do about it but whine and most of us are tired of hearing you demented supporters whine. We KNOW why you are defending him, and it simply is disgusting.

I doubt Lindsay would go for very long...She would throw money out and her cloths would probably go with it. If you did it, you would probably get the max + 20...

Good question.
But the answer is probably yes.

Drinking and drug abuse isn't a federal offense.
Gambling is.

Sounds kinda wacked out but that's where the priorities are.
