i neeed this info for my important test tom.
pls tell my which one to use.
this is my first year of pure chem so i only need to know which one to use.

If you have an oxidising agent present, then you have Cu2+, Fe3+, Pb4+ and so on. Otherwise, the lower charge is quite often the more stable ion. This is not the case with copper - always use Cu2+ unless a reducing agent is present.
