Too much info and not enough understanding can be very dangerous. This summer I too found out I have high cholesterol. I was caught completely off guard and had no idea how to re-act. Two weeks later, I made a second appointment with my doctor to discuss my condition, armed with a tonne of questions. Genetics plays a huge role in the cause of this condition. Your general health, including weight and physical activity , will be the determining factor on how to manage high cholesterol. The best advice my doctor gave me was, " don't stress it, take your med's, limit your fatty food intake e.g. deep fried foods, ice cream, store bought cookies/pastries, and park at the far end of the parking lot where no-one else parks anyway, the walk will do you good. Food is huge part of enjoying your life, but like everything else moderation is the key. Go ahead and have that treat--but only if you've earned it. Stop worrying and live each day like it's your last--someday you'll be right. Good luck

By all means, yes. ZOCOR (simvastatin) is a lipid-lowering or cholesterol -lowering agent that is derived synthetically from a fermentation product of Aspergillus terreus. It has the lowest incidence for side effects.
