I want to start my own minibus company providing airport transfers how do I go about it what are the restrictions if i dont want to run it as a private hire company and want to offer more than 8 passenger seats or would it be easyer to start as private hire how old can the minibus be ?????

You will need an operator licence, and for that you will need adequate finance and somebody who has a Certificate of Professional Competence (C PC). The age of the Minibus is immaterial, provided it has MoT classs VI.

Contact the Department of Transportation office, (Commercial Vehicle Division) in the state where you plan to opperate, and they will give you accurate answers with no BS. Contrary to what alot of people say and think, these people are there to help.
