How is it that however complex a question may be, I receive numerous responses to it, within a few minutes ?
Would the next Einstein or Newton emerge from Yahoo Answers ?

OpinionatedKitten.
Now your response prompts me to sit back and give it an afterthought, if I should continue to hang around here at Y!A or call it quits, since the essence of your reply seems to imply that had a Newton or an Einstein lived in this age, they wouldn't have spent their precious time and efforts, on what all we folks are involved in as of now. Not quite encouraging, my dear friend but you have a point, nevertheless.

No. For the very reason you have mentioned.
Yahoo! Answers is too fast a forum to allow for the kind of insight that Newton or Einstein had to become known on here. If you haven't already noticed, the best-thought answers here tend to go unnoticed, because by the time a person writes them and posts them, the forum has moved on to another question.
It may be that the next Einstein, Newton, etc... visits this site, but he wouldn't deliver his best material on it, only to be wasted on the world at large. He would most likely choose a scientific publication to submit it too.
Why would anyone trust the dissemination of a thesis worth years of sweat and effort to a rapid-fire Web site? And one in which it instantly becomes public domain to boot?

If you're talking about the Physics section of Y!A, I doubt it. Most of the kids there just want help with their homework. (And I sometimes do help them)

But if you're talking about the Philosophy section, well, I think the next Einstein is about to be born. Every time I read the answers around here, i can't help feeling that I am in the company of the Great Philosophers.

Just sharing my thoughts :)
