do you have any? who?
also (only if you want to answer) your age?
describe what started it and how fanatic you are.

i thought i was completely past such things when i was 17, but i'm 20 now and probably having a quarter-life crisis...

my idol is robert smith of the cure -- i'd pay literally thousands just to shake his hand and thank him for changing my life. i saw the cure (always a favorite band) live for the first time recently and it completely SHOOK my world. i haven't felt like this in a long time.

The Cure are an awesome band I agree.
My idol is David Bowie and he's always been my idol even when I was young.
What started it was hearing his music and seeing him on the television in films etc.
How fanatical am I?, I wouldn't say way over the top but I can listen to The Rise & Fall of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars many, many times and not get sick of it at all.
I've seen him in concert as well at his Reality Tour.

I actually idolize any good musician, guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen to the Bee Gees to Heart, just to name a few. To me these people are real artist, as they are all about being excellent at their vocals and/or instruments. Anyone can be good at vocals and instruments, but these people are excellent, phenomenal, and they deserve what they get.

This is something we rarely sees in modern music industry.

And yes, Michael Schumacher a 7 times F1 autoracing champion. He's a great driver (best ever driver in my book) no doubt, but I idolize him for the way he works to achive his success, and how humble he is with his success.

I'm 22 year old now, btw.
