I don't really believe in these but b/c its been instilled into my head since i was younger, i cant seem to shake them
Cutting children's hair before they can talk....I don't have children, but if I did I wouldn't....I don't know why, but I just wouldn't....oh yeah its b/c they say that if you do it'll delay they're speech
Showing a child a mirror.....Silly i know but for some reason I just wont
Erratic full moon behaviour....This i can actually say is true
Burning incense in your new home to ward of evil spirits...hey, my family and friends come from the west indies
Splitting a pole...this is stupid for real, I always split the pole!
Umbrella indoors....I still wont do it
Not baptizing children...I feel this one is stupid, its the parents right! If they choose not to baptize a child. They should not be told that they're child will become some sort of wayward being! lol....wheres the logic?
The black cat.....Stupid because a) my sis-in-law has a black cat named Benny and hes too friendly to be evil and 2...well I'm black lol
If i think of more then i will OH WAIT
Last but not least....
Walking past an ungated cemetery....Not much of those here in N. America...so I'm good!
As i was saying, if i think of more I'll add them

Nope, that would imply dark forces at work that would not give you freewill. You always have freewill to go good or bad.
I'm not sure about a muslim saying they don't have superstitions? Uh, saying a certain Prophets name, or dropping a Koran,or not washing your feet!!!!

Hold on, hold on......OK....was typing and walking, but had to go around this ladder, not under it, and.......oops, sorry....a black cat was crossing my path, so I doubled back. I don't think I'm superstitious!

I try not to be, but so much of humankind's way of life from ancient times has revolved around superstitions it's hard not to hold a few.

Kind of. Some superstitions are just stupid like throwing salt and black cats. Sometimes they are just fun to believe in!

I know that it is not based on science, but yes... Growing up with my Grandmom ( born 1884 in North Carolina), she had superstitions for everything...
