Have you had a stretch and sweep - did it work for you? If so how long until you went into labour? I had one 24 hours ago and no signs for me yet. I'm 8 days overdue today and booked in for another sweep tomorrow and if that still doesn't work they will induce me on Friday.

I had a sweep at 39weeks with first baby and was still induced at 40+1day . The only thing the sweep did was dislodge my mucus plug. 2nd baby didn't have one and went naturally 40+2days after having sex! This dislodged my plug and sent me into labour. Worked better than a sweep!
Sometimes they don't work though as your baby has not sent the signals to your body that they are ready to be born. A baby secrets a hormone that tells your body okay get ready, here I come!! Don't despair, in any case you know it will happen on friday at the latest.
It is safe to have sex even this far overdue so get hubby/partner and do the horizontal mambo morning and night! If you can go into labour naturally it is going to be so much better than induction. I've done both and naturally is so much easier. Sex does work so try it!!

I had three, and was induced in the end. My friend had two and she went into labur with in 8 hours. All the best

Nothing worked for me until i was plugged into a machine and induced!!
I wont worry too much after i was induced i wanted them back in that belly!!!
