The world is full of proxy wars so nature decided not to indulge by creating more genius.

This seems to be an observation or a finding but not based on any kind of opinion poll on self evaluation.Out of every 10 people I asked,6said they are genius,3 as very intelligent and 1 as extremely smart.I had to add myself in the scale to have at least 9.0909% idiots. Also,no genius accepts any known person[to him] to be a genius thus further reducing the number of genius people.

With us being knee deep in the information age, the internet allows us to accumulate knowledge at a break-neck speed. The result is that we have millions of "know-it-alls" out there who are all fighting for the "genius" badge of honor, whether they know it or not. The problem I see is that we have become too distracted and too busy accumulating knowledge because of the onset of the internet, computer gaming, cell phone ringtones, MP3s, PSPs, etc. These distractions in my opinion have stifled our collective creativity and innovation(outside the technology realm). I'm sure there are many of us who have genius potential, but instead go off to get there daily fix of War Craft or Second Life.

I think that you could find a specific "almost perfect score" in all people. People who pass tests and are labeled genius are around but they might have a hard time of making themselves into a social, functional, product of a wiz. Also, when an actor, scientist, athlete, politician, criminal does become a celebrity, they don't usually boast "well I'm a genius"
Philosophers usually assume we know they are genius.

I think it is more to do with our definition of a genius..... as general intelligence levels keeps going up, we keep raising the bar to choose only a few as genius... if there were to be too many, we wouldn't understand the word genius to mean the same as it does now.

I do think there are more "geniuses" than the world recognizes; many are just specialists, & some all over the map so to speak.
I think that world communications would improve if the geniuses mixed it up with "ordinary" folk, and I think they already do.
It hasn't worked for more world accord because it's not gone as far as even a good beginning yet, so we can't communicate past hurling things at this point, in a world view.

Thankfully a few of the things that are hurled are harmless to even sort of good... seeds, (someone's collecting ALL of them; did you see?) and books (online now) and whatnot.

I don't think nature limits much... nature is pretty well over-run until there are natural disasters, and many of them are enhanced by man's error...over-construction, even arson, etc.
Nature will then have her way with us with the changes of climate and all those things that happen in their regular, ordinary cycles...
Well, good luck to us all!

Well from an evolutionary perspective - it is the most successful genes which flourish ; so I would say that being a genius doesn't particulary help from an evolutionary point of view . ie being a genius doesn't help you to reach reproductive age OR find a mate particulary . I think that there could be unforseen consequences to any lessening of genetic diversity .

Generally, it's thought that humans are getting smarter (at lest according to those who believe in IQ testing)

So, there's not so much of a difference between us "normal" folk and the Einsteins any more.

Or, maybe, we're so entranced by celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Michael Vick that we can't see the genius in others

The genius first for something is first published. All others are published as required of them in their profession, but there are so many, and so few readers willing to read of them. Genius is few known, not few in human population.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.
