I tried a moisture absorber in my bedroom, It did absorb water but I don't think it was enough to make a big difference. The problem is every time you open the door more hot moist air enters from the other rooms.

The tropics are hot and are full of plants so I doubt having one will make any difference.

A dehumidifier does not cool the air. A dehumidifier is a type of air conditioner. Both of which produce warm or hot air and moisture as a byproduct.

Yes a dehumidifier does remove moisture out of the air, and, dries the air. But it blows warm air into the room as it removes the moisture.

Where I live it becomes 89 degrees inside the house. The dehumidifier helps some but hot is still hot. Reducing the moisture in the air only helps you feel cooler when you use a fan to blow directly on yourself.

An air conditioner cools but can't remove enough humidity so you can still feel uncomfortable. You need both a dehumidifier and an AC to feel cool.

I doubt if anything will help. Why don't you have an air conditioner? Dehumidifiers put out heat. So you need both a dehumidifier and air conditioner.

I have a dehumidifier, the heat it puts out isn't that great but if it is over 85 degrees inside having dry air doesn't really do much to make you feel cooler.

A dehumidifier both cools as it takes the moisture out of the air, and, dries the air.

a/c is the only thing you need to cool & dehumidifier ( a/c's are the best there is ). Small window units are cheap - buy enough for 1 room.
