AntiVir Guard has detected a virus and gives me options to delete, quarantine, deny access etc. Initially I denied access but the notification kept popping back up again, so I tried Delete, quarantine and deny access but I still get the pop-up notificaiton. So the virus is still there and I can't seem to get rid of it. One other thing I have noticed is that it only happens when I try and access a certain website (Metcheck). Others, like Yahoo answers for example, are fine. Can anyone give me advise? Has anyone heard of this virus? Thanks in advance.

This is a hijacker virus it basically kicks in after a reboot it will take controle of your system and stop windows from saving data on the reboot. You will also find that most of your programes no longer work, this is why access is denied. You didn't say what antiviruses you are runningtry these out Avg, Spybot, Adaware these are free.

Try this: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

It's a bootable cd that catches viruses before they can load themselves into memory and cleans them.
